Night Nurse - Bank

We are seeking a dedicated Night Nurse to join our caring team at Simeon Care for the Elderly. This role is vital in ensuring our residents receive exceptional healthcare and support, aligning with our mission to enhance their daily lives.
Applicants must have the current right to live and work in the UK - Sponsorship is not provided for this post.
Responsibilities

To provide professional Nursing assessment and intervention as required for all our residents.

To provide care through the night checking residents at regular intervals according to their care plan.

To respond promptly to calls for assistance during the night while respecting the privacy and dignity of residents.

To advise and support the wider team to ensure medical and wellbeing needs are met.

Administer prescribed medication and accurately maintain records.

Support with monthly medication ordering including checking delivery and reporting any errors.

Provide high-quality patient care tailored to elderly residents.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.

Monitor residents' health status and report any changes promptly.

Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.

Uphold safety standards and best practices in elderly care.

Foster a warm, respectful environment that promotes residents' independence.

Participate in team meetings and ongoing training to improve care quality.
Qualifications

The post holder must hold abide by the Nursing & Midwifery Council Professional Code of Conduct, and be responsible for own Council registration.

Registered Adult Nursing qualification with relevant licensing.

The post holder must be aware of current approaches to person-centred, palliative and dementia care and show this in practice.

Proven experience in elderly or dementia care preferred.

Strong knowledge of anatomy and patient care procedures.

Compassionate with excellent communication skills.

Ability to work effectively within a team.

Commitment to upholding the dignity and independence of residents.

Knowledge of best practices in dementia-friendly design is a plus.

Willingness to contribute positively to our community-oriented environment.
As the role involves working in an environment with vulnerable people a PVG certificate will be required. If you are not a member of the PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) scheme, you will be asked to apply for membership before you can work with us.
