Recreation

 

We have a dedicated Activities team who organise meaningful recreational activities within the home.

We have a range of indoor activities which include bingo, quizzes, therapet sessions, arts & crafts, to name just a few. All residents are encouraged to attend and join in.

We encourage and support residents to maintain personal interests and believe it is important to get to know each person’s cultural, social, and spiritual needs.

​

Many of our residents enjoy participating in art classes, playing their favourite musical instrument, helping in the garden, or simply relaxing by our relaxing fish tank with a cup of tea.

​

We celebrate many special occasions throughout the year, such as: Burns Night, Halloween, Remembrance Sunday as well as marking each resident’s birthday with a party and delicious home baked birthday cake.

We have transport available to take residents to external appointments, outings, or a quick trip to the local shops.

We can also arrange for residents to have a newspapers delivered, a visit from our friendly hairdresser or even a nail treatment.

At Simeon we source local ingredients to produce healthy, enjoyable meals. Menus are varied and we cater for all dietary requirements. We also grow our own organic produce (season dependant).

We have a shared kitchen and larder area for all residents to use. There are a variety of snacks, fruit, hot and cold drinks on offer.
